Since 1978, Jack Rummel has been writing music reviews for The Rag Times and other publications.  He is a ragtime composer, author, performer and recording artist.  His weekly radio program, "Ragtime America," has been broadcast continuously in the Denver, Colorado area since 1980 and can be heard on the Web at <www.kgnu.org>.  In 2005 he received the Scott Joplin Award from the Scott Joplin Foundation for achievements in the field of ragtime.

Jack has established a reputation for reviews that are concise, straight-forward and honest.  He is a tireless promoter of ragtime and related music.  New reviews will be posted monthly as quantities permit.

"...Jack writes...'fair and balanced' reviews of new ragtime CDs and folios and tells you how to order them.  There's always a lot of information in his deceptively brief articles."  --Sacramento Ragtime Society Newsletter, January 2005.

Recordings and folios submitted for review should be sent to Jack Rummel, Ragtime Music Reviews, P.O. Box 402, Niwot, CO 80544-0402.  (Folios must be accompanied by a recording of the pieces in the folio, which should be on compact disc but need not be of professional quality.)

Items submitted should contain ordering information, i.e., the address where the item may be ordered and the cost of the item including shipping.  Optional information might include a website, an email address or a telephone number.  A review will appear on this site 1-3 months after the item is received.  Items sent for review will not be returned.

Jack can be contacted by email at <jack@ragtimers.org>.  IF YOU WISH TO BE NOTIFIED EACH TIME NEW REVIEWS ARE POSTED, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO THIS ADDRESS.  Thank you.
